Obama apparently won. I say apparently since there are too many tales of voter irregularities to assume that massive fraud was not perpetrated on this country. (I don’t have time to list all the links, but you should be able to find the stories about Black Panther voter intimidation in Philadelphia, FL/GA/OH residents who were double-registered and double-voted, interviews on CNN with black voters who state on camera that they voted “a couple of times,” and on and on).
Obama pronounced that CHANGE was going to be the hallmark of his administration. There are a lot who doubt that he can do much to change things — for the better. Interesting that the stock market had its largest post-election drop in decades after this Democratic win.
But here’s your assignment if you can stomach it. Take five (5) minutes to reply to this article and write down the following information for posterity’s sake:
- The price of a gallon of gas in your neighborhood
- Your current electric bill
- Your monthly or annual income (hey, I’ll let you post anonymously on this if you like)
- How much you are spending on a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread and a pound of hamburger meat.
- Whether you rent or own your own home
- The price of your health insurance premiums (if you have it)
- Any other pertinent info you want to add
This won’t take you all that long.
The benefit is this: two years or four years from now, when somebody asks you, “Are you better off than you were four (or two) years ago,” you can quickly compare some basic facts.
Other people will be able to read the stories of real American people. Maybe it will save someone a bad decision in the future.
