Apparently, Richard Cizik’s latest interview with liberal radio generated just a bit too much unhappiness among the ranks of the evangelicals. He has officially turned in his resignation. That’s good news for anyone who cares about the integrity of beliefs and policy being tied to what scripture actually says.

Richard, you’ve done the right thing. You don’t represent evangelicals at all. You do represent a new hybrid: people who claim to care about scripture but don’t give a hoot about the weightier matters of the law such as love and mercy (for the unborn) and justice (against the proponents of gay marriage).
