In the “should have used a Mac or Linux” department, the French Air Force was grounded because of a computer virus which wreaked havoc in their network.

It makes you wonder just how fragile all of these defense systems are around the world:

“Mr President, please wait while we reboot our server which houses all the missile guidance systems.”

“Prime Minister, I’m telling you, we have it on good authority that the Russians have not applied Service Pack 3! The time to act is now before they download and upgrade!”

“Rats! They’ve switched to Linux!”

Doesn’t this make anyone embarrassed and upset over the ridiculousness of this issue?
