The plaid rhino is an extremely endangered species.  Once considered a freak of nature or a result of bio-engineering gone awry, he is now recognized as the core genetic branch of the entire species.  Rather than live life in shades of gray (or brown), the plaid rhino expresses a wide spectrum of colors, exhibiting the exuberance which characterizes his personality.
