On Monday, June 1, 2009 the latest in a series of attacks on America by Muslims occurred when Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad shot and killed a US soldier outside a recruiting office. Another soldier was wounded.
While the name may not surprise you, it might if you knew that this black Muslim convert had previously been known as Carlos Bledsoe. His father lives in Memphis, Tennessee.
News reports indicate that police have confirmed that religious and political motives were behind the shooting.
This is not someone who has undergone a lifetime of Arabic instruction. Rather, this is a young black man who chose to convert to Islam for some reason. And his conversion to Islam led him to become a terrorist on American soil.
Does this mean that Islam by default is not a religion of peace?
Does this mean that those associated with this cause should be targeted as terrorists?
Does this mean that black males from Memphis are more likely to be terrorists than anyone else?
Or was this man truly “acting alone?”
Why ask these seemingly inflammatory questions? Because these are the accusations (not questions) being made about the pro life movement after the murder of George Tiller.
You can’t have it both ways. Either every movement that has ever had violence associated with it in any degree is by nature evil and must be abolished, or perhaps people can indeed act out of their own evil heart. Has Islam had violence associated with it? Well, yes. And lots of it. Has the pro life movement had violence associated with it. Yes, generally by people on the fringe. But not nearly as much as Islam itself.
So who will the media deride the most in these two instances done back to back within a day of each other? And who will the government issue bulletins and memos about?
We’ll see.
It is such a contrast to see what converts from different religions end up doing. Converts to Christianity have displayed the true love of God through selflessly helping others, feeding and clothing the poor, attending to the needs of hungry children and lifting men and women out of the dregs of poverty. It is sad to see recent converts to Islam act out their true convictions by killing innocent people in the name of their God. The one true God, Jehovah has showed us his love by sending his only Son to take the sin of the world upon himself as the one true sacrifice for our sins. Jesus Christ the Son of the true and living God has showed us what God requires of us, that is the laying down of our lives for others, not the taking of innocent lives.
Interesting to note that Obama was only “saddened” about this crime against (1) our nation, (2) our military and (3) innocent victims while he was “shocked” and “outraged” over the death of an abortionist.
Does anyone else see the double standard here?

Well, it’s out in the open. The Muslim terrorist who killed a US solider on US soil has stated that what he did was not murder, that it was justified and that it was indeed an act done in the name of Islam.
He also stated: “U.S. soldiers are killing innocent Muslim men and women. We believe that we have to strike back. We believe in eye for an eye. We don’t believe in turning the other cheek.”
Will someone please get back to us on Obama’s official rejection of this guy? Will someone please turn up the volume so we can hear Obama announce publicly that he is “shocked” and “outraged” that this man would have the unmitigated gall to do this in America?
